And yes! Here we are again, on the train from Manchester up to Liverpool and the BEATLE WEEK 2000!

The first afternoon - GREAT concerts at the new magnificent BARCELONA club.

Björn, Peter, Tabbe, Benny & Ulla at the Barcelona

Liverpool

LIVERPOOL from Sweden made a very good performance from start. But then something magic happened! Guitarist LENNART KÅGE started to play 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'. So beautiful! We couldn't believe our ears! Lots of applauses! The first HIGHLIGHT! 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' should thereafter become the song of this year's Beatle Week.

Hare Georgeson (left) and his group

HARE GEORGESON (Ric Alan) had got a very tight new band together. Nice to hear all great George Harrison songs! And so 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' again! Thank you!

Banned On The Run

Luke and Bob

Marc

BOB BARTEY (lead vocals & guitar) and MARC MOWFORTH (guitars & vocals) in BANNED ON THE RUN had three new members this year: LUKE STOCKWELL (bass), SIMON RAMSDEN (drums) and ALAN BUTTERWORTH (keyboards). A great band! BANNED ON THE RUN has never sounded better! They surely had got new self-confidence after their succesful sessions at Abbey Road Studio 2 (yes, The Beatles' studio!) earlier this week Then they recorded the lovely ballad 'Let It Grow', written by Bob's brother and wonderfully sung by Bob and with BEAUTIFUL guitars by Marc.

Back now to the ROYAL COURT THEATRE...

Los Beat 3

LOS BEAT 3 from Venezuela made a very good performance. We will forever remember the happiness in ALEXANDRA's face and AXEL's brilliant (Joe Cocker) version of 'With A little Help From My Friends'.

The Overtures

Again we were entertained by THE OVERTURES' mixed 60's concert. Not only The Beatles, this band can play anything! The Stones, The Who, The Kinks (wow!), The Moody Blues, The Mamas And The Papas, Wilson Pickett... And what ENERGY! This band is unsurpassed!

The Beats

THE BEATS from Argentina made another visit to Liverpool. And surely satisfied their fans with a very varied show.

Back to THE ADELPHI...

Me and Ulla stayed for some time and enjoyed the music. But now we had been awake for 22 hours, so after a while we went to bed. But tomorrow is a new day...
