Will and Kent

SMILE! That was Kent's message just before he took this photo. I tried with this result, looking like a lunatic, sorry!

Me Bengt with Will

We went to the Pearce Suite at The Adelphi...

Liverpool

Another great concert with our heroes from home in Sweden - LIVERPOOL. You were undoubtable one of the very best groups during Beatle Week! We are so proud of you!

Time now for some interesting INTERVIEWS...

Klaus Voorman & Astrid Kirchhherr

(The beautiful photo above was published in colour and big size in THE BEATLES MONTHLY BOOK, Issue 306, October 2001. Thanks to Keith Badman and Nina Douglas. I'm so proud!)

KLAUS VOORMAN and ASTRID KIRCHHERR, two of The Beatles' very best friends from the Hamburg days in the early 60's, appeared to be two very nice people! A wonderful and interesting interview filled with humour and warmth!

KLAUS first met The Beatles in Hamburg in 1960 together with his girlfriend then, Astrid Kirchherr. He later played bass in THE PLASTIC ONO BAND with JOHN, GEORGE and RINGO in 1969-71. Also designed the 'Revolver' and 'Anthology' covers.

ASTRID's photographs of the band are the definitive images of the era.  The great love in her life was STU SUTCLIFFE, then The Beatles' bass-player. But even more a succesful painting artist. Her photo-exhibition at The Art Gallery in Mathew Street was one this week's definite highlights!

Pete Best

(Also this photo was published in colour and big size in THE BEATLES MONTHLY BOOK, Issue 306, October 2001. Thanks to Keith Badman and Nina Douglas. I'm so proud!)

PETE BEST also gave a very interesting and detailed interview. How many excellent gigs did he play in The Cavern and other venues before Ringo replaced him? This is history!

Back to The Adelphi Ballroom. More music!!

The Parrots

THE PARROTS were back on stage. What a solid band!

SGT PEPPER next -  one of my favourites!

MARCOS GAUGUIN played an unbelievable wonderful guitar-solo again. This time in George's 'You Know What To Do' from their second CD 'Afonso Pena Com Abbey Road' - and 'The Anthology'.

Marcos, Sgt Pepper

Time now for two of the VERY BEST concerts during Beatle Week...

Tony and Dennis in The Overtures.
But who's the guy in the yellow shirt?

The Overtures with 'Fab' Frank

THE OVERTURES performed THE BEST perfomance we had ever heard them do! (And we have heard them quite a few times.) Fantastic raw sound! Hightlight after highlight, culminatiting with 'You Really Got Me' directly followed my 'Louie, Louie' and the the guest-appearance by 'Fab' FRANK of THE FAB FAUX doing an excellent Badfinger number. wowWowWOW!!!

Will

Rich

THE FAB FAUX made one of their very best concerts ever. And that doesn't say little - WORLD CLASS!! Highlights were 'Yer Blues', 'Happiness Is A Warm Gun', 'Mr Moonlight', 'Because', 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps', 'Revolution' and the encore 'Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except Me And My Monkey'. Just to mention a few!!
