Dark Horses

Ronnie

DARK HORSES has grown to become one of Liverpool's most popular groups and are well-known at The Cavern Pub. They play there regularly Sunday evenings. Formed 15 years ago they play not The Beatles but also The Stones,  Steely Dan, The Eagles as well as blues, soul and even jazz. The band consists of Tony Blundell (bass), Ronnie Hughes (guitar), John Damage (keyboards) and on drums you'll find Cavern City Tour's own Ray Johnson. A great band!

And here are some of the music lovers at The Barcelona...

Karl Terry & The Cruisers

Karl in action

Pounding bass

KARL TERRY and THE CRUISERS played together with The Beatles and Gerry and The Pacemakers at Lithertown Town Hall in October 1961. The world's first Supergroup! This year we enjoyed an energetic show by Karl and the band. You're a real showman Karl - Wow!

Every year since 1998 we have found this girl just in front of every stage. All day and all night long!
A true Beatle fan!!! Fantastic!!!

Mersey Beatles

MERSEY BEATLES are born and bred in Liverpool. This year they made their debut at Beatle Week with a vibrant and exciting mix of the classic Beatles hits from 1962-66.

A little nap now at The Adelphi before we go to The Cavern...

Bosse, Tomas and Ulla at The Cavern

And here comes the first wonderful band...

Det Betales

DET BETALES from Norway returned to Liverpool for the seventh year! With two new members they had got a tighter sound this year. An excellent band!

Time now for our heroes from home...

Liverpool*

Ronnie

Olle

LIVERPOOL have been together for over 20 years(!) and is one of Sweden's best Beatle Tribute Bands. Olle Nilsson (guitars and keyboards) made a truly magnificent performance with his magic Lennon voice. All together with new member Sebastian Roos (guitars), Ronnie Roos (bass and Sebastian's father!) and Kent Szwonder (drums). Wonderful! We were so proud to come from Sweden! And here comes more...

Rocks Off*

ROCKS OFF. This wonderful band from Sweden are rated as the best Rolling Stones cover band in Europe! And that could be heard! A wonderful performance from Tony Johnson (Mick Jagger), Roger Mikander (Keith Richards), Lars Elf (Brian Jones), Torgny Ehrieder (Bill Wyman) and Pär Lilja (Charlie Watts).

Late now. We rush to the...

American English

AMERICAN ENGLISH from USA was hailed by former Beatle promotor Sam Leich as 'the best Beatle action on the planet'. Sam has been astounded by their likeness to The Beatles. (Well, we have always come to Liverpool for the music... Sorry, but we're not so fond of lookalikes.)
But OK, American English played very well, no doubt about that. Lots of later songs, very hard to play.

LOUISE HARRISON, George's sister, came all the way from USA, invited by Cavern City Tours. A very nice and generous person. So nice to meet you Louise! She also praised The American
English.

Louise Harrison

We rush to The Adelphi...

Most of the Argentinian bands couldn't make it due to the economic crise in the country. So we enjoyed some other great bands instead.

Clube Big Beatles

CLUBE BIG BEATLES from Brazil - one of our favourites! This band can play! They has been in Liverpool for 8 consecutive years - a record! This night we enjoyed a wonderful George Harrison Tribute concert. Thank you!

Det Betales

Dag Svartskuren

Tor Olsen
'John Ramon'

DET BETALES made another outstanding performance. Pounding beat and roaring guitars! One of the very best bands during the Beatle Week!
