LIVERPOOL BEATLE WEEK Saturday 24 August 2002 Concerts at Cavasse
Park,
No auction for us this year. We were sleeping deep in bed. Have been there previous years.
We go to CHAVASSE PARK....
Time for The Stones now...
THE COUNTERFEIT STONES were formed 7 years ago. UK's premier Stones Tribute Band! A fantastic concert filled with joy and humour. Thank you! Time again to go to the...
CHRIS TASSONE backed by The Dark Horses made an excellent Ringo concert. A great musical performance. And he's also a virtual carbon-copy of Ringo himself.
BANNED ON THE RUN with Bob Bartey on vocals and Marc Mowforth on guitars were reunited for this night only. So wonderful, because they are the best McCartney and Wings band ever to play at Beatleweek.
HARE GEORGESON made the most moving, uplifting and inspired concert at Royal Court this night. We could really hear how the band loved the music they played. And Ric Alan who fronts the group is a marvellous singer. A wonderful George Harrison Tribute! Back to The Adelphi for a Swedish delight...
The first band from Sweden - LENNY PANE!
LENNY PANE from Gothenburg were back after their success at the 'Yellow Submarine' Premiére in 1999. This year the 'oldies' Micke Isacson and Göran Ihrfelt brought two new members Johan Strömberg (bass, vocals & guitars) and Benny Carlsson (drums & vocals). This year they were joined by special guests, two outstanding Swedish singers...
STEFAN ANDERSSON and PETER EKBERG really brought in vitality to the band!
Time now for the magnificent LIVERPOOL...
LIVERPOOL made another outstanding performance. All went nuts, some started the BROOM DANCE...
And here comes more - ROCKS OFF!
ROCKS OFF, that means The Stones off course! Another magic performance! And they kept playing and playing till someone pulled the plug out! Tonight we were really proud to come from Sweden! A long crazy night! Good night! Photos by Bengt and Ulla*
