Skeggsy fans

Skeggsy & The Hot Dogs

TONY SKEGGS is well-known in Liverpool as one of the lead singer in The Overtures. Tony left the band 18 months ago to persue his solo career. Today he was teamed with The Hot Dogs consisting of Chris Grindrod (bass) and Justin Crowe (keybords), supported with Rich Pagano from The Fab Faux on drums. Lots of wonderful 60's music by The Small Faces, The Kinks, The Who etc. Tony would join the Fauxs on Tuesday at The Cavern.

Tony

TONY has written new songs and moved to New York City, teamed up with 'Fab' Rich Pagano and recorded a whole album in Rich's New Calcutta Studio. Rich has produced the album and also plays the drums on it. A fantastic album with many great songs, highlights being the soul-music opener 'Cold Water', 'Can't Give It Up', 'Break The Change', 'Someone On Your Side' and many more. Buy it when you catch it!

Another great photo of the fans...

The Skeggsy fans

We rushed over to....

The 3rd Pier Head concert with our Stones heroes...

Rocks Off - Pär, Tony & Roger

Rocks Off - Pär

PÄR LILJA on drums is a great explanation to the successful solid beat of the band. And he never looks tired! Without him we would never been able to rock that hard. Thank you, Pär!

Lars & Roger

Kounterfeit Kinks

KOUNTERFEIT KINKS. Wonderful that you let us hear music by one of the very best UK 60's band - THE KINKS! 'You Really Got Me', 'All Day And All Of The Night', 'Dedicated Follower Of Fashion', 'Sunny Afternoon', 'Waterloo Sunset'... Do I have to say more? And your versions were so great!

Time for the week's Main Event. We go to the...

Time now for the BEST band of them all - THE FAB FAUX!!!.

Will & Jack

This should be a magic Psychedelia night starting with 'Flying' and 'It's All Too Much'.

Jack, Frank & Will

The band were really enjoying themselves in front of 'the best audience in the world' - LIVERPOOL!!!

Will & 'Ravi Ollie' Jimmy - 'Within Without You'

This was perhaps 'something no American musicians should try to do'. But with Jimmy's wonderful sitar, the band's performance of George's 'Within Without You' became an incredible masterpiece. Just magic!

The Rhino Horns - 'Yellow Submarine'

Many of tonight's songs got a heavy soul-feeling from the groovy horn section - The Rhino Horns. On 'Yellow Submarine' they entered the centre of the stage so we could easier enjoy their skill and beautiful looks.

Jack, Rich, Frank, Will & Jimmy
Thank you Liverpool!
- See you next year!

An marvellously performed show!!! No other band can play these difficult songs so good! You are unsurpassed! Wonderful to know that you will be back next year!

(As I've written before, the distance to the stage was much longer this year than last year. The camera flash is actually much to weak for such a long distance. Anyway, after heavy processing by the computer, I here present a few photos - with great hesitation! They are not that good. (When I took the excellent photos last year I stood just in front of the stage. So I have no chance to top last year's photos from Royal Court.)

Well, if these Fab Faux photos weren't that good. Just wait till tomorrow and the fabulous Fab Faux photos from The Cavern...

No VIP Party yet. We had to rush to Cavern Back first and another gig with our heroes - ROCKS OFF!!!

Rocks Off - Torgny, Pär & Tony

Lars & Roger

ROCKS OFF!!! Unbelievable - another outstanding concert! And always you have some blues surprises for us! Tonight's highlights being unsurpassed versions of 'Miss You' (10 minutes long!) and 'Angie'. Many bands at Beatle Week played the same songs over and over again. But not this band! A brand new setlist at every gig! That is what we call quality!
Nothing negative to say tonight? Well, the swimming-pool on the floor will never be forgotten by anyone who attended!
