LIVERPOOL BEATLE WEEK Tuesday 31 August 2004 The Fab Faux 'In Leathers' Shows at The Cavern Back.
Welcome to the hottest and sweatiest day ever during Beatle Week...
LAWRENCE GILMOUR is billed as the World's Number One Paul McCartney impersonator. No wonder! Look here how beautifully he performed Macca's tribute to George - 'Something' - with the ukelele only. Wonderful! Lawrence is also a very nice person. Thank you, Lawrence, for all your support of my website. Lawrene will play at Trollhättan, Sweden on Saturday 30 October 2004 together with his band Itchycoo Park. See you there!
HAL BRUCE - what a wonderful way to end Beatle Week! We first saw you perform early on Thursday and now we enjoyed your remarkable one-man show again. As you can see, today I stood right in front of the stage. So, enjoy the photos... First, let's take a look how beautifully the stage was prepared for the next event...
And now - THE FAB FAUX!!! In Leathers?
'CRY FOR A SHADOW' - What an awesome opener! Hamburg Days are here!
FRANK looking so happy. Certainly because they didn't wore the announced Leather outfit! The temperature use to be 34 degrees Celcius in Cavern Back! (That's about 93 degrees Fahrenheit!) Phew!
JACK introduced today's guest-guitarist...
TONY SKEGGS. Since Jimmy had the Conan O'Brian TV-show in the US to attend, we got another chance to enjoy Tony's great rock'n'roll voice and heavy guitars. (It would have been wonderful to see you on stage too, Jimmy!)
Time for Jack's showpiece. 'Hold on to your ladies, here he comes...'
End of show. But now Bill Heckle entered the stage...
BILL HECKLE, manager of Cavern City Tours, now proudly announced that The Fab Faux will perform at Beatle Week 2005! Wow!!! And this time a Theater Show with no Beatles! Instead lots of Beatles' solo material.
This must have been a relief! No more gig next year in this hot cellar! But much remained today! Time for ENCORE!...
What a show! This was Joy, Love, Heat and Sweat!!! No other band has played better on this legendary stage - ever!
LAWRENCE GILMOUR. Another great performance! Thank you, Lawrence! See you in Trollhättan, Sweden 30 October.
GAVIN PRING, or GAV as we prefer to call him, made a surprise appearence on Show 2 with Hal Bruce. The highlight being George Harrison's 'Got My Mind Set On You' from his best album - 'Cloud Nine'. Gav is member of the American top group British Export and are also performing George Harrison songs with great success in his George Harry' Son band. Once again - THE FAB FAUX!!!
Another ENCORE...
Totally amazing! You did it again! Unbelievable to manage to do two gigs in one day in this sweaty, hot cellar! And you were so good!
Many more great bands performed during Beatle Week... This is just my best pictures of the bands and people we love the most. "The love you take is equal to the love you make" (Lennon-McCartney) Thanks to Bill Heckle, Dave Jones, Ray Johnson and all others at Cavern City Tours, The Fab Faux: Frank Agnello, Will Lee, Rich Pagano, Jack Petruzzelli & Jimmy Vivino, Rocks Off, Tony Skeggs, The Overtures and all other wonderful Tribute Bands, happy fans, the nice people of Liverpool and off course all you wonderful friends, who attended these journeys of a lifetime! Not the least my wife Ulla, not a Beatle-fan (almost), but who has shared these experiences with me - and enjoyed it!
Thanks to Pentax Optio S4i for providing me with such excellent photos.
