LIVERPOOL BEATLE WEEK Friday 26 August 2005 No More Land Mines
Macca Tribute Concert at the Adelphi.
WINGSPAN performed a fantastic 'Wings Over America 1976' tribute, sounding so close to the original version. Here are some of the very best Beatle Week fans...
LAWRENCE GILMOUR brought his new band to Liverpool. Have never sounded better!
THE PRELLIES. These rockers from Birningham need no presentation. This is sweat, dirt and rock-Rock-ROCK from the 50s and early 60s - Hamburg style.
AUSTRALIAN BEATALS made made a great concert with lots of rare authentic footage from the 1964 Australian Beatles concert. Fantastic to see it all!
NEIL INNES and THE RUTLES had decided to make their very last concert. A historic night! The backgrounds were so great, that I have chosen to show several of my pictures.
CAVERN CITY TOURS' leading four were presented with this great LP-cover. I recognize the DAVE JONES picture, top right, from my own website! What an honour! (Click on 'Beatle Sites' and 'London Beatle Tour'.) Waiting for the check CCT...
We rushed down to the Cavern Pub to see our heroes from home....
ROCKS OFF!!! One of the very best bands during Beatle Week! From Sweden - off course! With the fantastic Keith Richard stand in LES GRANQVIST and newcomer HENKE HAMMOND on keyboards they rocked the house down to pieces!
FRANK AGNELLO. Yes, Fab Frank from The Fab Faux! With excellent support from ERIN HILL he made a very entertaining concert with great versions of BADFINGER songs. Fantastic guitar-playing and vocal harmonies, thank U both! A quick rush over to Crompton's Bar....
ROCKS OFF again!!! A historic gig! Not only their best gig ever, but at the same time the original ROLLING STONES was on stage in Hartford, Connecticut! Wonder which band sounded best?! All photos and text by Bengt Wärmlind.
