Visit to
FRIAR PARK
Concert at
ROYAL COURT THEATRE
The Beats at the
ADELPHI NIGHTCLUB

On Friday 28 August we went to the Liverpool Beatle Week. On the way up a stop at FRIAR PARK, Henly-on-Themse - the home of GEORGE HARRISON.

Friar Park. The sign on the gate.

Friar Park - just the gate-keeper's lodge!
George's mansion is further in.

In the evening we arrived at LIVERPOOL and the GLADSTONE HOTEL. No time for food or a shower! Just rushed away to our first concert at
THE ROYAL COURT THEATRE.

Banned On The Run

A very enjoyable concert in this magnificent theatre with the excellent bands INSTANT KARMA, HARE GEORGESON and BANNED ON THE RUN.

And now, time for the first night at the ADELPHI NIGHTCLUB.

TUNEL DO TEMPO, Brazil

Martin and Bengt at Adelphi
- with Abbey Road shirts!

Very late now, but time for the SENSATION of the night! THE BEATS!

Paul & George?

 John?

No! THE BEATS!

THE BEATS was the BEST band we had seen so far! These youngsters from Argentina were like The Beatles themselves! The gestures, the voices, the talking between songs - all was there. And the music! Their version of 'AND YOUR BIRD CAN SING' was a KNOCKOUT!

Time for bed now. But tomorrow is a new day!.
