 Friday 11th June 2004

Yes, tonight we're gonna celebrate PAUL McCARTNEY's concert at Ullevi Stadium on Saturday!

The world-famous Beatle band, LENNY PANE, has invited us to a party with lots of their friends. All this in co-operation with Beatles Information Center.

The first guest is a sensation! Paul McCartney's own guitarist - RUSTY ANDERSON!

Rusty Anderson

Rusty signed his excellent CD 'Undressing Underwater'...

Now it was my turn...

Bengt and Rusty

And here's the result...

A collector's item!

Later in the evening Rusty made an exclusive unplugged concert with many songs from his wonderful CD 'Undressing Underwater'. All songs composed by Rusty himself. He had never done that before he told us. Fantastic!

Beautiful songs - Rusty!

We got the chance to hear many of the wonderful songs from Rusty's CD. Plus a beautiful version of the DAVID BOWIE song 'Moonage Daydream'.

Rusty was really enjoying himself

Time for the last song...

Rusty - 'Hurt Myself'

Rusty ended his concert with the hit 'Hurt Myself' from his successful CD. Originally featuring PAUL McCARTNEY on bass and backing vocals plus the whole McCartney touring band. We all sang along in the chorus: 'Huh-Huh-Huh'
Thanks for a great evening Rusty, and welcome back!

We go back in time a little now. Earlier in the evening these guests performed...

Time for the first guests...

Triple & Touch - 'Rain'

Gladys del Pilar

Triple & Touch and Gladys - 'Drive My Car'

Gladys - 'Drive My Car'

The audience went crazy!

These famous artists sang so beautifully! First TRIPLE & TOUCH in one of the very best Beatle songs - 'Rain' followed by 'Getting Better'. And then joined by GLADYS DEL PILAR in a powerful version of my favourite - 'Drive My Car'!
Thank you!

Originally it was now time for RUSTY ANDERSON's gig. (You've already seen the pictures.)

A fabulous CD - Buy it!

LENNY PANE and friends - Set 2. More power....

Peter Ekberg - 'Birthday'

PETER EKBERG is usually member of the Hard Metal group COMMANDER. A tonight he really used his power in 'Birthday', 'Anytime At All', 'Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey' and finally the Rock'N'Roll classic 'Bad Boy'.
"Hey junior, behave yourself!" You're the best, Peter!

Johan Lagerström with trumpet support
'For No One'

JOHAN LAGERSTRÖM gave us a wonderful version of 'For No One' with excellent trumpet solo support. It was followed by 'I'll Cry instead'. Great version!

Jack Mittleman - 'I Should Have Known Better'

Jack - 'I'm Looking Through You'

JACK MITTLEMAN. This Canadian has been a regular guest at many Lenny Pane gigs during the years with great success. A very nice guy!

Lenny Pane and Iris - 'I've Got A Feeling'

Iris - 'Across The Universe'

IRIS ESELL (usually just called IRIS) - a wonderful singer! Tonight she first gave us really soulful versions of 'I've Got A Feeling', 'Across The Universe'. And finally she rocked our asses off in 'Can't Buy Me Love'.

Wille Crafoord - 'Savoy Truffle'

WILLE CRAFOORD really loves to sing The Beatles! Tonight we got 'Heart Of The Country' (is that one by The Beatles?), 'Savoy Truffle' (superb!) and 'Cry Baby Cry'.

Jim Jidhed - 'Let It Be'

Jim - 'Kansas City'

JIM JIDHED is a member of  the band ALIEN. You've got a voice with soul, Jimmy! Tonight he sang 'Let It Be', 'Oh Darling' and 'Kansas City'. So good!

Per  Umaerus in Lenny Pane
'Eight Days A Week'

Johan Strömberg & Göran Ihrfelt - 'Golden Slumbers'

LENNY PANE followed now with tight versions of 'Paperback Writer', 'Get Back', 'Eight Days A Week', 'Golden Slumbers/The End' and 'She Loves You'.

And so, the finale...

All artists - 'Hey Jude'

Åsa Gustafsson - our happy compere

ÅSA GUSTAFSSON was the compere of the night. Also a very good harmonica-player and backup singer.

Na-na-na-Na-na-na-na...
