Long and well-researched!
In December 1996 and April 1997 me and my sponsors sent six(!) costly double-CD-R's of 'ORIGINAL
MASTER RECORDINGS' to Sir GEORGE MARTIN, GEOFF EMERICK, APPLE CORPS, EMI and ABBEY ROAD
STUDIOS in
London. Each set costed £50 (=$70)! (Few people owned
a CDR-recorder in 1996, so I had to make them in my CD
store at this high price.) In this way we
hoped they would be positive for a STEREO release.
EMI and
Abbey Road Studios showed GREAT INTEREST in the CD-R's. The
CD-R's have been circulating among all the top people at
EMI, Apple and Abbey Road Studios. "Many
people are listening!"
Today I
know that that Sir GEORGE MARTIN, GEOFF EMERICK, NEIL ASPINALL, MIKE HEATLEY, ALLAN ROUSE, and others, HAVE
LISTENED
to them! As you know Sir George Martin is The Beatles'
producer and Geoff Emerick their engineer. Neil Aspinall
is General Manager at Apple Corps. Mike Heatley is
General Manager at EMI International Catalogue
Development. Allan Rouse is the Beatles coordinator at
Abbey Road Studios and is responsible for the Beatles
tape archive.
On July
11th, 1997 MIKE HEATLEY from EMI and ALLAN ROUSE from
Abbey Road Studios
carefully LISTENED to the CD-R's at Abbey Road
Studios and COMPARED them
with EMI's original master tapes. The result was sensational! "Your
CD-R's are IDENTICAL to the master tapes! IT SOUNDS GOOD! WE WILL
RELEASE the first four Beatles albums IN STEREO! We know there's a demand for
these recordings," I was told.
Sir GEORGE MARTIN sent me a nice letter
September 25th, 1997. But no comments about the CD-R's at all,
unfortunately.

So this is now a BIG problem for
EMI/Apple!
Will
they permit bootleggers to re-release
THE BEST
BOOTLEGS IN THE WORLD!?
Or will EMI/Apple release
the BEST rock CD's
in STEREO themselves?
(Keep your eyes open! Several re-releases of the bootlegs
are now available.)
Big
